What is conference?

The annual conference is the premier event of the year for NZMSA. A select number of delegates will attend a weekend filled with enlightening speakers, workshops, panels, and social events. The conference in 2019, Empower, will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Auckland City from the 7-9th of June 2019.

Our goal for the conference this year is to support and inspire our delegates to empower themselves and help them to become better future health professionals. Thanks to our sponsors, Empower will be subsidised for all attendees. With educational speakers and unforgettable nights, Empower is an event not to be missed.

Any medical students at either the University of Auckland or University of Otago are welcome to apply for a place at Empower 2019, just click “Apply” in the top right hand corner of this page.

What do I need to know about conference?

The conference will start at 1pm on Friday the 7th of June 2019, where delegates will meet at the Crowne Plaza for the Amazing Race, and the Welcome Soiree that evening.
